I had my own tour guide.

First  we met the farm dog, um, actually I can’t remember his name.

We stopped in at the barn.

Met the calves.

They were in the middle of dinner.

Then we headed out across the corn fields

And down the hill.

And back up the hill.

And then to the top of the hill.

The Bragg Farm is a great little place in East Montpelier and the most perfect place for a 4 year old.

She tried it

but the horse started nibbling her fingers.

My sister showed her how to keep her hand flat.

My niece with the whole thing and just threw the grain a the horse.

Maple Pecan pie made with real maple syrup.

I made two pies and they're both gone before I've even posted the recipe!
I start by chopping the nuts. The nut chopping it the most complicated part of the whole recipe.

Beat the eggs then add maple syrup and vanilla.

mix together.

 Pour in the nuts.

Fill pie shell and arrange pecan halve on the top in whatever design you prefer. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until done.

Let cool for a little before eating

Maple Pecan Pie
Ingredients
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 cup chopped Pecans
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
mix the eggs and add vanilla and maple syrup. Add nuts and mix, pour into pie shell. Arrange pecan halves on top.
Bake at 350 for 45 min or until done
