spring crocus-19354

The sun came out  and it made it up to 70 degrees today! Then I spotted them, tiny little yellow bits of color. Yes, the crocuses are finally here. Spring may actually be on it’s way.

While I was crawling around on the ground I saw  the thumb sized kale plant

And a brussel sprout plant that has not made any brussels but never mind this post isn’t about calling out freeloaders.

321 bridge project-

It was a great day to be pouring concrete yesterday.

I saw the sun reflecting on the water and then I saw it, the mixer backed up to the pump, pumping to a another pump on a barge, pumping to another pump on another barge, pumping it to the pier they were pouring!

Then I spotted all the mixers lined up waiting their turn.

321 bridge project--3

Currently this is the bridge to get across the Tennessee river. I’d love to shoot from that bridge but it’s so busy with so much traffic and as each vehicle passes over it the bridge wiggles so I wouldn’t get a clear photo.

321 bridge project--2

I talked to some old guys in the fishing access parking lot and they said there had been mixers lined up since the first light of dawn.

When I came back by after dark there were still a row of mixer headlights waiting in line. I didn’t stop for more photos as it had started to rain.

seven snowmen

This happened.

Two nights ago we had perfect snowman making snow so my neighbor and I made a couple snowmen.

Yeah that’s all.

Oh and then we had to run back to my house for the camera and tripod to get a photo of our handiwork before it melted.

red velvet cupcakes-18811

Happy valentines day!

red velvet cupcakes-18818

I made these from a box so No recipe today. If I made them from a recipe I wouldn’t have put any food coloring in and then there would’nt be red in the red velvet.

kale egg sausage bites-18798

Super easy to make these Kale egg sausage bites!

I did not measure any thing, just threw stuff in a bowl. I’m getting like my mother.

kale egg sausage bites-18806

I know I used

about 5 eggs

about 1/2 cup of blanched frozen kale because someone ate all the fresh stuff up last night in her salad!

about 1/4 cup of cooked sausage crumbled

about 1/4 cup cooked basmati rice

and salt and pepper to taste.

Baked it at 350 in little tiny muffin pans for um, I have no idea. I never really looked at the clock, I just took them out when they were getting golden around the edges.
