Plant a few Zinnias and you have a butterfly garden. I don’t know enough about butterflies to tell you what they are. But they’re here.

That’s all for now I have enough mosquito and Chigger bites to do higher math! Rrr.

Where’s the clear nail polish?

I got to babysit my niece,  we did all sorts of 2 year old things including golfing which ended up being more carrying golf balls around by hand. We ate frozen strawberries, played on the swings, the hammock, stared at bugs, went to see “Cowy”,

ran little short steps and asked “Why?” to every answer. We had a good time…

She’s also potty training. Now I’m just not all that up to date on potty training. I figured letting her run around out side with no pants on would be ok, what happens out side stays outside right?
Wrong.
At some point we went inside to use her potty, then I noticed the brown smears on the potty seat. So I put her in the tub and cleaned her up.
We headed out to the kitchen freshly showered and in clean clothes ready to make strawberry smoothies when she says to me with her very properly pronounced words “What’s that on you?”
I looked but didn’t see anything.
She points and says “It looks like poop.”
I looked at where she was pointing, sure enough.
Then she continues “It’s on your shirt and on your pants.”
So I went back to the bathroom and I washed and changed my clothes.

Then all clothes were off.
Yes, off.

Butterfly cookies. This is a simple cookie recipe you probably can make today without going shopping for additional ingredients. My cousin gave me cookie cutters for Christmas and these cookie cutters  came with cookie recipes on cute little cards tied to each cutter.
My niece thought making cookies was a good idea and being a cookie chef was an even better one! though she calls them crackers, I'm not sure why . Anyway She said she'd help me with the dishes too so we had a deal! We washed our hands and got started.

I mixed  the butter and sugar. and she asked if it was "I-keem". It's always worth an ask.

She rolled out her ball of dough.

Sometimes we eat a little raw cookie dough while we're working.

She carefully picked off the tiny little bits of dough from the rolling pin...

then she had a better idea! Just like corn on the cob.
That's all for now we have cookies to eat and dishes to do.

Thanks Crobi! We had good time.

Butterfly Cookies
