I saw a recipe for a smoothie like this once but I never saved it and really can’t remember what all they put it it. So here’s what I put in. My conclusion is it’s best fresh. Left in the fridge over night the kale does that cabbage family thing…
Fresh was really nice,
the next day not so much.
I started with some cooked oatmeal
An avocado, and fresh raw kale with stems removed.
Put it all in the blender along with milk, lemon juice and honey to taste.
And a cup of green tea. Plus a cup or so of ice cubes. Blended it all up
and came up with this incredibly smooth and creamy smoothie!
- 4 small leaves of raw kale stems removed
- 1 avocado
- 1 cup green tea
- 1/8 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup raw honey
- 1/4 cup cooked oatmeal
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups ice cubes
Blend together and drink immediately. Serves about 3.
