Sweet potato oven fries
Grampy always said sweet potato fries were way better for you than regular potato fries. I thought of him when I was making these oven fries.
It’s always sad when I stab a perfectly good sweet potato but it always seems like I manage to stab the biggest nicest one. And that’s just what I did.
It seems to have been a good year for sweet potatoes.
I haven’t even dug half of them yet.
Cup some sweet potatoes into thin-ish sticks.
place in a ziploc bag.
pour in a tablespoon of olive oil
and a dash of soy sauce.
mix it all around and place on a baking sheet.
bake at 450 a total of 25 to 30 minutes turning half way through.
If you put them only one layer deep they get crisper. Don’t do like I did on this batch.
On the next one I put fewer on the baking sheet and it was better. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder or whatever you like.
